Dr. Raj is also a fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), the American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP), and the American College of American Academy of Sleep Medicine (FAASM). In addition to his clinical work and research, Dr. Raj currently practices at the University of Southern California and serves as associate professor of clinical medicine, the associate program director of the sleep medicine fellowship at USC, and assistant program director of the internal medicine residency program. From his work at USC, he’s been awarded the Excellence in Teaching award six years in a row.
Dr. Raj completed an internal medicine residency at Michigan State University, followed by fellowships in pulmonary/critical care at Columbia University, Saint Luke’s & Roosevelt Hospital, and in sleep medicine at Henry Ford Hospital. During this time, he received accolades such as Resident of the Year, Fellow of the Year, and the Director’s Award for research.
Dr. Raj has a sincere passion for teaching and mentoring doctors-in-training. In addition to his teaching work, he’s written two book series, Morning Report: Beyond the Pearls and Case Reports: Beyond the Pearls, both aiming to aid medical students with board certification and refining their skills.
